Unknown Gem Type: tlx.tlx.tellyourfriends As you know, I used to belong to the Forest Grove FFA. The advisor of the program is Rolland Aschim (who was one of my favorite HS teachers), and the program is the best in the State of Oregon, and also normally sends it's own delegation to Nationals every year. In my picture, I am wearing my FFA jacket.
I also belonged to the Forest Grove High School Viking Log. That was also a lot of fun. The advisor for the paper is Catherine Bennett. The Viking Log has been around for sixty years, and before that, it was named the Monday Mourning-Moan. It was so named because if you were in it, you moaned. If you weren't, you mourned. The name was changed when a lot of influential people started demanding that it be changed. There was a vote of all the students, and the name Viking Log was selected. Since then, the Viking Log has continued to produce a quality paper, and I am proud to have been on it's staff, even if it was for only one year.
This is my t-shirt. If you want to buy one, I put the link in the links page.

Every summer, Graceland University is host to a huge sports and leadership camp named Spectacular (SPEC for short). This camp is open to all high school sophomores through high school seniors. Everyone from a certain region gets put into a "delegation." I lived in the Northwest all three years that I attended SPEC, so I was in the Northwest Delegation. There is a lot of stuff that goes on, and it is a blast, even though when you come home, you are so tired that you can't stand up. I have some really good memories of SPEC, and that was one of the reasons that I am currently going to Graceland University.
